Position: Video Editing Cocoa UI Engineer
Apple's Professional Applications team is looking for a seasoned software engineer to work on the next generation of editing applications for the video post production market. In particular, this individual will participate in the architecture and design for the user experience of Apple's next generation Non-linear editing applications.
We would like to find a candidate with strong experience building end-user applications using Cocoa and Objective-C. Experience developing media applications for professional users is highly desired. As a member of our team you will help define, design and implement world-class professional tools that allow audio editors to focus on their artistic creation.
The ideal candidate will have played a significant role in the development and support of professional, commercial media authoring applications using Cocoa. This candidate should also demonstrate a strong aptitude for user interface design and methodology. The ideal candidate will also have a proven track record demonstrating innovation, strong collaboration among team members, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creating great Cocoa applications.
Key Requirements:
* BS CS/CE/EE or equivalent.
* 5+ years experience in commercial grade software development.
* Design and implementation experience with Objective-C and Cocoa
* Strong UI design/implementation skills
* Proven expertise in architecting, designing and implementing end-user applications
* Strong object-oriented analysis and design skills
* Strong applied software methodology, process and quality skills
* Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced development team
* Deep understanding of performance and responsiveness assessment and optimization
Additional Desired Skills and Experience:
* Experience developing audio/multimedia applications used by creative professionals
* Strong OS X development experience
* Knowledge/understanding of threading issues a plus
* Knowledge/understanding of C++ a plus
